Social Studies: Exemplar Text Exploration

Exemplar Paragraph by Kendyl:

This is about if Nancy Ward knew Susan B. Anthony or not. Susan B. Anthony never knew Nancy Ward. It was possible that they could have known each other but they did not. The possibility could have been when Anthony was 1, 2, 3, or 4. Ward was born in Tennessee. She lived from 1738 - 1824. Anthony was born in Massachusetts. She lived from 1820 - 1906.
In 1738, Nancy Ward was born. In 1751, Ward married Kingfisher. In 1756, she was awarded the title “Beloved Woman”. In 1776, she rescues a english woman, Lydia Bean. In 1819, she opened an inn with her 2nd husband, Bryan Ward. In 1824, sadly Ward died after all her accomplishments.
In 1820, Susan B. Anthony was born in Massachusetts. In 1826, Anthony’s family moved to New York. In 1846, she began teaching for $110 a year. In 1851, she met Cady Stanton. In 1868, she began “The Revolution Paper”. In 1869, she formed the National Woman’s Suffrage Association. In 1872, she voted illegally and was fined. In 1905, she met with President Roosevelt. In 1906, she sadly died.
Nancy Ward’s accomplishments did inspire Susan B. Anthony, in my opinion. Ward did many great things and that’s what inspired Anthony.

  1. This is why Ward and Anthony never met. Ward died when Anthony was just 4 years old. Anthony was born in 1820 and Ward was born in 1738. Anthony lived in New York City and Ward lived in Tennessee. Nancy Ward and Anthony never meet but Ward would have had a big impact on Anthony’s life.

There are 3 reasons why Ward would have a big impact on Anthony’s life. First, Ward got the title “Beloved Woman”. Next, she rescues a English woman named Lydia Bean. Last, she was in a war with a lot of boys. This is why Ward would have had a big impact on Anthony’s life. By: Aiden B.

  2. Nancy Ward died in 1824 in Tennessee. Susan B. Anthony was born in 1820 in Massachusetts. They couldn’t have known each other. They couldn’t have known each other because Anthony lived in Massachusetts and Ward lived in Tennessee. However, Ward did influence Anthony’s life choices.

Nancy Ward was a Cherokee woman in the late 1700s early 1800s when women did what men said to. She married Kingfisher which was soilder who fought in war. Nancy got named “Beloved Woman” which was the highest honor a Cherokee woman could get. Nancy Ward saved a English woman and the Cherokee was in war with English. Nancy also went on the battlefield with the men and women were not suppose to do that.

After looking at what Nancy Ward did, that should had of inspired Susan B. Anthony.

  3. Nancy Ward died in 1824 in Tennessee. Susan B. Anthony was born in 1820 in Massachusetts. They could not have known each other. However, they could have not known each other. I know that because when Susan B Anthony was about 3 years old Nancy Ward was dead. I know that because in 1738 Nancy Ward was born and in 1824 she died so in 1820 Susan B Anthony was born in massachusetts and in 1906 she died .So you no goodness well she could have not known her. Well she might could have known her if it was at the right minute . But there was not a lot of ways back then to travel . She actually couldn't have known her because if she went there at any moment she would have been buried in her cast . They could have really not .However, Ward did influence Anthony’s life.

Did Nancy Ward have an impact on Susan B. Anthony life? Yes, she did have an impact on Susan B Anthony life. She had an impact on her life because she went on the battlefield with the men and tried to put peace with Cherokees. So, she had influence Susan B. Anthony to fight for women's suffrage because Ward could fight on a battlefield.

Also, she had an impact on her life because she did things to help women fight for their rights and she gave Susan B Anthony some rights to do some of the stuff she got to do before she was born.

Nancy Ward did had an impact on history so you know it would have an impact on Susan B Anthony life. Look at all the great things those 2 great women did to changed America so they almost had the same lifestyle. Except they had different blood. These 2 women changed things in America. They both wanted to find ways to keep peace or they was fighting for women’s suffrage . But seme very funny to me is that they both did things that people probably wouldn’t think like Susan B. Anthony voted illegally was fined.Plus Nancy Ward went on a battlefield with men which many people thought women wouldn’t go on a battlefield with men . Them 2 women were strong ,powerful,Nancy Ward influence Susan B. Anthony to do awesome things .

She earned the title ‘Beloved Woman’ many girls didn’t get a title for their nickname. Ward voted illegally and she was fined. She saved a woman named Lydia Bean. 14. Nancy Ward Died in 1824 in Tennessee. Susan B. Anthony was born in 1820 in Massachusetts. They could not have known each other. However, Ward did influence Anthony’s life.

How Ward paved the road. Nancy Ward was awarded the title “Beloved Woman” in 1756, then in 1772 she rescued an English person named Lydia Bean. In 1819 she opened an inn with a different husband called Bryan Ward. Then when 1824 hit Ward died (dying did not pave the road)

Showing the road was paved. In 1846 Anthony began teaching for $110 every year when she noticed she was payed less than men. In 1851, she met a person named Cady Stanton (do not know what links up with that in her paved road). In 1868 she created “The Revolution Paper.” In 1869, she put the pieces of the National Woman’s Suffrage Association together. In 1872 she voted against the law and was fined because of it. In 1905, she met with the President Roosevelt. One year later Anthony died.

Nancy Ward paved the road, made a walkway, or made the boards to put on the bridge so that Susan B. Anthony could build that bridge, cross that bridge and build the next.

There are three reasons why Ward influenced Anthony’s life. First, Ward fought with the boys and Anthony was fighting for rights for women. Second, she won the highest rank of names a women could get because she fought with the boys and Anthony was not getting treated like the boys. Third, she saved a English women and Anthony was fighting for women not getting treated equal. Remember that girls and boys have equal rights.

They both tried as hard as hard as they could. They both finally succeeded. Ward succeeded the most because she made another woman to help her get women rights. This is why I think Ward and Anthony never met but Ward might have influenced Anthony. Anna Kate Goff
